There was once a time when the mere sight of Britney Spears behind the wheel of a motor vehicle would strike fear in the hearts of pedestrians and fans alike.

Fortunately, that was 2007 and this is now.

The pop star has regained her place atop of the music world, and with a little help from papa Jamie Spears and beau Jason Trawick, is no longer a train wreck.

Lindsay Lohan has taken her place as an obituary waiting to happen. If only she had parents or a stable significant other who cared about her best interests.

But back to Britney, here she is behind the wheel of her Mercedes G500, going for a drive along with Jason Trawick in Beverly Hills on Thursday October 15:

All in all, it's great to see Spears back on top, wearing sunglasses at night, packing 20,000-seat stadiums and cranking out racy, sexually-oriented singles.
